Abstract: The relationship between the nature of activated carbon and the performance of capacitor was reviewed. The research progress of carbon materials, including activated carbon prepared from different raw materials, modified activated carbon, activated carbon fiber,carbon nano-tubes,carbon black, used in capacitor electrodes were introduced. The direction of development of capacitors was described.
