    2006, 40 (5):  25-27.
    Abstract ( 640 )   PDF (520KB) ( 847 )   Save
The energy efficiencies of two heat transfer methods: immersion evaporation and falling film evaporation were compared. The results showed that although the evaporation intensity of falling film evaporation was two times higher than that of immersion evaporation, but in practice, if the heater was set up around the wall of heating room, the energy efficiency of immersion evaporation was about 57% higher than that of falling film evaporation.

    Abstract ( 632 )   PDF (781KB) ( 1112 )   Save
Biomass energy is a renewable clean energy. Focusing on biomass energy products and according to their different physical states, the national standardization system of biomass energy is proposed in the course series on the basis of investigation of the international standardization of major products. The progress of biofuel ethanol standardization is reviewed in this paper. On the basis of analyzing the status of international fuel ethanol industry development, the typical standards of fuel ethanol in the world are introduced. The specifications of fuel ethanol from different countries are compared each other. The standardization study of China fuel ethanol products from non-edible raw material and wood cellulose should be enhanced according to the present situation of production and standardization of China fuel ethanol. The draft of fuel ethanol standards could be expedited by the way of adopting international standards.

    2006, 40 (5):  21-24.
    Abstract ( 677 )   PDF (755KB) ( 1039 )   Save
The extraction and isolation conditions of polyphenol from the husk of earthnut by supercritical CO2 process were stu-died. Influences of extraction temperature, extraction pressure, and extraction time on the content of polyphenol were investigated, and suitable conditions were determined based on the single-factor tests. They were as follows: extraction temperature 60℃, extraction time 2 h, extraction pressure 20 MPa, 80% ethanol was used as a modifier, and its dosage was 4 mL for per gram material. The yield of polyphenol was 6.19% under above conditions.

The products containing 80%, 85% and 90%(GC) of longifolene were made from semifinished longifolene products by catalytic reaction. The experiment result showed that the catalytic reaction can reduce the β-caryophyllene content of semifini-shed longifolene products which were obtained by rectification from heavy turpentine. The yield was 97.0%.

    2006, 40 (5):  11-14.
    Abstract ( 711 )   PDF (675KB) ( 878 )   Save
The magnetic bamboo charcoal materials magnetized by MnFe2O4 and CuFe2O4 were prepared by chemistry-coprecipitation method. The adsorption ability of the materials for acid red B was studied. Results showed that:MnFe2O4-bamboo charcoal material (MnFe2O4-BC) and CuFe2O4-bamboo charcoal material (CuFe2O4-BC) possessed magnetism. CuFe2O4-BC has stronger adsorbability for acid red B. When the dosage of CuFe2O4-BC was 2 g/L and the initial concentration of acid red B was 150 mg/L, the adsorption velocity was fast and the removal of acid red B was 82% in the first 30 min. The adsorptive equilibrium reached at about 20 h. Saturation capacity was about 33 mg/g;the greatest adsorption of acid red B occurred at pH 4.5. the adsorption isotherm of acid red B accorded with the isothermal adsorption equations of Langmuir and Freundlich.

Study on Surface Chemistry Characteristics of Fines (Ⅰ) ——The Effects of pH Value in Wet-end System on Characteristics of Fines
    LIU Li-sha;DAI Hong-qi;WANG Shu-mei;YE Chun-hong
    2006, 40 (5):  7-10.
    Abstract ( 749 )   PDF (635KB) ( 976 )   Save
In this paper, the charge demand, beating degree, and water retention value (WRV) of fines including original (P200) and fiber fragment (P'200) which comes from KP bleached eucalyptus pulp are studied when they are affected by pH value. The results show that pH value affected the surface charge of fines, and had greatly effect to the beating degree and the WRV. When pH value raises from 4 to 10, the cationic demands of both P200 and P'200 increase respectively from 0.033 and 0.050 meq/g to 0.060 and 0.110 meq/g;the maximum anion demands of P200 and P'200 are respectively 0.014 and 0.010 meq/g. In the range of pH value 4~10, P200 and P'200 represent negative charge state. At pH neutral condition, the maximum CTR values of P200 and P'200 are respectively 0.4 and 0.2. The effect of pH value on beating degree of P200 is higher than that of P'200, and the effect of pH value on WRV of P200 is less, than that of P'200, P'200 has greater beginning beating degree and WRV.

    DAI Li-jun;SU Xiao-bao;LU Yu-dong;CHEN Shao-ping;WU Zong-hua
    2006, 40 (5):  15-17.
    Abstract ( 919 )   PDF (553KB) ( 1034 )   Save
Method of collidal titration was adopted to determine tannin content of valonea tannin extract. Tannin contents is correlated linearly with charge densities of the extract (expressed as titration value) in the mass range of tannin from 0.6 mg to 3.0 mg at pH 5. Average recoveries of samples XK-2 and XK-3 are 101.1% and 103.4% respectively, and relative standard deviations are 5.4% and 1.5% respectively. Compared with hide powder method, colloidal titration has the advantages of rapidity, simplicity, and low sample consumption.
