Research Advances on Analysis of Condensed Tannins from Plant Extracts

Abstract: In this review, we first focused on the complexity of the structures of condensed tannins. Then we paid more attention to the analytical methods which were used to evaluate tannins. The methods included protein precipitation, acid butanol assay, vanillin assay, Prussian blue assay, Folin-Ciocalteu assay and chromatographic analysis.
