Abstract: Energy is a vital component of any society, playing a pivotal role in the development.Post oil crises shifted the focus of energy planners toward renewable resources and energy conservation.To exploit biomass fuel oil is one of key measures against the shortage of petrochemical fuel under the circumstance of increasing demand for fuel and diminishing reserves of petrochemical.In this paper, general situation of the studies on the distribution and utilization of woody plants resources for fuel oils is reviewed, and some suggestions on the development of the industry of biofuel oil are posed.
