Abstract: Based on the analysis of energy utilization in the world discussed in this paper. Special attentions were paid to the discussion the advantage and the importance of the bioenergy were on the present situation of woody energy development and the research progress on the selection and silviculture of woody energy plants as well as woody bioenergy conversions. At last, we suggest that in order to encourage the development of woody bioenergy industry, the government should issue a regulation in favor of bioenergy developing, establish research platforms of bioenergy cycle systems, speed up the silviculture of woody energy plants, extend technical demonstration sites of bioenergy conversions and finally accelerate the marketing process of bioenergy in our country.
