Development of Forest Woody Biomass Briquette in China

Abstract: Developing bio-energy is very important in the shortage of fossil fuels today.From the investigations and researches of the bio-energy of wood in our country, there are 0.8-1 billion tons per year of forestry wastes which can be used for bio-energy production in China.The briquette of wood based bio-materials could replace coal with its advantages of high heat value, clean burning and easy to make.The technology of briquette making under normal temperature will have a bright future because of its less energy consuming.
