Study on Preparation of Isolongifolene from Heavy Turpentine Oil by Isomerization

Abstract: A new process for preparing isolongifolene isomerized directly from heavy turpentine oil was studied. GO4n-/TiO2(A) was selected as a suitable catalyst. Furthermore, the dosage of the catalyst 1%-2%, reaction temperature 190-200℃ and reaction time 4 h were determined as optimum conditions. Under above conditions the isolongifolene yield is more than 90%. It is considered as a green chemical commercial process for preparing isolongifolene.
