Abstract: This article mainly presents the processing procedure of Machilus pauhoi Kanehira plant gum, the mechanism of Machilus pauhoi Kanehira plant gum used for drilling fluid additive, and the experiments on viscosity and stability in different parameters of mass fraction, temperature, mineralization and time. It concluded that the viscosity increases greatly with increasing mass fraction, the viscosity decreases gradually with increasing temperature, the viscosity decreases smoothly as time goes on, and the viscosity decreases with increasing mineralization.
