Abstract: In order to study the process optimization for extraction of rubber seed oil, the solvent extraction method was used. The petroleum ether was used as extracting solvent. According to the single factor test the effects of liquid-solid ratio, extraction time, and extraction temperature on the extraction ratio of rubber seed oil were investigated through orthogonal design. The optimum extraction conditions were as follows: petroleum ether as extracting solvent, the sample particle 0.90 mm, rubber seed 20 g, liquid-solid ratio of 7:1 (mL:g), the extraction temperature 75 ℃, and the extraction time 8 h. Under the optimum condition, the extraction ratio of rubber seed oil was 35.17%.
