Abstract: A method for separation and purification of flavonoids from walnut peel with macroporous resin was studied with the recovery rate of flavonoids as indexes. The results are as flollows: among six types of macroporous adsorption resin choosed, type macroporous resin D101 is the best for separation and purification. The optimum process condition was the loaded amount of flavonoids to dry resin: 1:12, the sample concentration:3.0875-6.175 g/L, pH:5. After eluted with 6BV of distilled water and 5BV of 70% ethanol, the yield of flavonoids was above 60% and product purity was above 80%. The process is simple and the flavonoids of walnut peel can be separated and purified effectively.

Key words: walnut peel, flavonoids, macroporous adsorption resin, separation and purification
