Prospect on Industrialization of Biodiesel Forest in Yunnan

Abstract: Bioenergy is the only regenerable energy in the world.It can be produced and stored in large scale, and is zero discharge of carbon dioxide.It may provide a new way for solving the problems of energy crisis and environmental control in China.Meanwhile, industrial plantation of a bioenergy producing tree species, Jatropha curcas L., may provide an alternative way for alleviating the rural poverty in Yunnan province.The development of this forest bioenergy industry may be beneficial to sustainable economical development, environment protection and ecological balance.
