Abstract: Experiment of catalytic pyrolysis to prepare hydrogen was carried out in a self-made fixed-bed reactor, using chestnut shell, peanut shell and sawdust as raw materials and Al₂O₃, MnO₂, CaO as catalysts.Results showed that content of hydrogen in pyrolysis gas increased with increase of pyrolysis temperature, and increased markedly over 600℃.Volumetric fraction of hydrogen was increased about 10 % per 100℃ increment of pyrolysis temperature.Further results showed that catalyst of different types under different dosages possessed different catalytic effects.
