Abstract: Experiment of catalytic pyrolysis to prepare hydrogen was carried out in a self-made fixed-bed reactor, using chestnut shell, peanut shell and sawdust as raw materials and Al2O3, MnO2, CaO as catalysts. Results showed that content of hydrogen in pyrolysis gas increased with increase of pyrolysis temperature, and increased markedly over 600℃.Volumetric fraction of hydrogen was increased about 10 % per 100℃ increment of pyrolysis temperature.Further results showed that catalyst of different types under different dosages possessed different catalytic effects.
