Abstract: GC-MS was used to analyse pyrethrum extracted by supercritical CO2 . Area normalization was used to deter mine relative percentage content of the compounds. As a result, 53 compounds were separated and 31 compounds were identified, the identified compounds accounted for more than 58.5% of the total compounds, it is indicated that the pyrethrum contains alkane, olefinic alcohol, olefine acid, sterol, fatty acid and pyrethrins. The relative percentage content of pyrethrins is 50.70%.

Key words: supercritical CO2 extraction, natural pyrethrum, GC-MS
